Job Description and Qualifications: This employee helps to build strong partnerships between families and schools. They work to create a welcoming environment for families and caregivers of newly enrolled multilingual students.
Family liaisons help with: Connecting Newcomer families/caregivers to resources
Parent outreach: Reaching out to parents and caregivers of newcomer students
School-wide events: attending after-school events
Parent-school communication: Facilitating communication between parents and the school
School policies: Helping families/caregivers of newcomer students find information about school policies, programs, and activities Family Liaisons are compensated for 10 hours of outreach per month.
Funding source: Title III Grant Rate $21/hour
