ESL/SLIFE Paraprofessional

An instructional paraprofessional is needed to assist teachers of newcomer Multilingual Learners, especially students with limited or interrupted formal education (SLIFE).

The paraprofessional will work with newcomer students and support English Language vocabulary in content classes.

Paras must demonstrate the ability to work with students under the direction of the teacher and follow directions effectively. Paraprofessionals support multilingual learners to acquire language skills and develop their identities as bilingual and bicultural scholars.

The Paraprofessional will work under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, to assist teachers with students in classrooms to meet instructional goals and objectives. The paraprofessional will primarily support Spanish bilingual students and other bilingual students, as needed.
