Position Overview

Waltham Public Schools is seeking a passionate, energetic, and student-centered Elementary Music Educator to join our Fine and Performing Arts Department and elementary school teaching teams. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging and developmentally appropriate general music instruction that fosters musical growth, creativity, collaboration, and confidence.

The Elementary Music Teacher will provide foundational music instruction and meaningful musical experiences for students across the elementary grades. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to inclusive, standards-based music instruction and the ability to create welcoming learning environments that support students with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and levels of musical experience.

A valid Massachusetts teaching license in Music is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
