Long Term Substitite- Special Education Board Certified Behavior Analyst - (aprx. 1/22/2024- 3/29/2024)
The purpose of this position is to have an individual who can provide behavioral consultation and monitoring of our programs and staff which provide services for students who may be classified as autistic, pervasively developmentally disabled or similarly challenged.
Qualifications:
Education, Training and Experience:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Education as a Teacher of Students with Moderate or Severe Special Needs.
- Demonstrated subject matter competence, highly qualified, in the area of licensure.
- Proven competence in applied behavioral analysis and similar areas of expertise.
Knowledge Required:
- Currency in providing services for students on the autism spectrum.
- Experience in planning and assessing of instruction.
- Skilled in effective classroom management techniques.
- Effectiveness in designing and implementing Individualized Education Plans.
- Promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity.
- Expertise in electronic record-keeping and data collection related to student performance.
- Fulfillment of professional responsibilities.
Abilities Required:
- Ability to deliver effective instruction and train staff in providing such instruction.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet student needs and to assist staff in doing so.
- Ability to administer required student testing and assessments.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, colleagues and administrators.
